An aspiring aerospace engineer, Kaitlyn became interested in the STEM field in third grade after winning the chemistry division of her elementary school science fair, which was organized by high school seniors. In high school, she co-founded an outreach club to bring STEM education to an underserved elementary school in her community and fell in love with STEM education. As President of Future of STEM, she works to develop learning aids that are engaging, educational, and efficient, modifying them based on how students of varying backgrounds and interests react. She hopes to bring accessible, cost-free STEM activity plans to parents and teachers, so they can inspire the next generation of engineers.

Selina's childhood experiences and her desire to positively impact people's lives fuels her passion for biology and STEM. Growing up alongside her grandmother, who battles type 2 diabetes, has profoundly influenced her perspective on healthcare, motivating her to pursue a career in neurology. In her junior year of high school, she co-founded an outreach club to bring biology and other STEM fields to a population that otherwise would not have had much access. As Vice President of Future of STEM, she delves into public policy aspects of our organization, expanding our reach and helping her community by inspiring the next generation of healthcare workers.
